Employee Insights: Norbert Fesel, Senior Consultant
Norbert Fesel is a former software developer who is now working as IT project manager and senior consultant in the field of digital transformation. His main focus is on cloud computing and e-commerce as well as on tenders for software and IT services in both the private and public sector.
In his academic career, he completed a bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien and a master’s degree in Cloud Computing Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. He is also a EuroCloud StarAudit Professional, making him qualified in the area of cloud service certifications, as well as an ISTQB® Certified (Software) Tester.
Norbert has been a member of the Sourcing International family since early 2019, helping organizations to formulate clear cloud strategies, establish effective cloud policies, evaluate cloud services quickly and economically, and document all their decisions transparently. Norbert also advises and supports SMEs in their digitization projects with regard to the selection and introduction of suitable IT systems. In connection with the Austrian federal government’s digitization strategy, Norbert has provided consulting for multiple public tenders aimed at the conclusion of framework agreements and master agreements related to software and IT services.
In addition to the abovementioned activities, Norbert assumed the following responsibilities in his recent projects:
He conducted a needs and requirements analysis as well as overseeing the selection and implementation of a state-of-the-art enterprise resource planning system—including the simultaneous migration from and replacement of an outdated merchandise management software—at an internationally active company specializing in the online sale of beauty, cosmetic, and PMU products.
He conducted an analysis and implemented highly specialized requirements for risk evaluation and premium calculation of building insurances based on an enterprise content management system.
Norbert is very flexible and distinguished by his propensity for exactitude. He is able to familiarize himself with new topics very quickly and can therefore apply his knowledge and experience rapidly, allowing him to find simple and elegant solutions to complex problems for our customers.
