Team Emirates New Zealand wins the America's Cup
|
The Kiwis flew over the water in their 20-m-long, 8-ton boat, 11 sailors, at speeds of up to 100 km/h.
With the foiling monohulls, the digital transformation has now also begun in sailing. A super-exciting mix of high-tech software development, sensor technology, boat building, and sailing skills. It is the 3rd time in the 170-year history of the Americas Cup that the trophy (known as the Auld Mug) has gone to New Zealand, this time in an exciting title defence against the Italian Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team. Very impressive and exciting.
Congratulations to Team Emirates New Zealand
