Our annual mid-year team retreat is a cornerstone of our commitment to team development and strategic growth. This unique workation blends professional seminars, time for our customer projects work, and team building activities, fostering a perfect balance between work and leisure.
Our approach
The retreat is designed to bring everyone together, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. By gathering the entire team, we create an environment that encourages open communication, ideas exchange, and mutual support. This is crucial for building a cohesive team that can tackle challenges effectively and innovate continuously.

These sessions are designed and led by our team members from all service areas. They cover a wide range of topics and consist of knowledge sharing, collective brainstorming, feedback exchange, or goal reviews.

Dedicated time is set aside to focus on ongoing customer projects. These sessions give us the opportunity to prioritize team collaboration while continuing to meet our customers' needs effectively.

Leisure activities
To balance the intensive work and seminar sessions, we include lots of outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, yoga, and various other team-building exercises. These activities not only provide a refreshing break but also strengthen the bonds within the team, promoting a sense of unity and collaboration.

This method helps make complex topics more accessible and ensures that key messages are retained. By framing our whole retreat around a narrative, we can make the seminars more engaging and memorable. This year's company theme, "Journey of Transformation," was woven into every aspect of the retreat, reinforcing our strategic goals and vision in a compelling, impactful way.
Gamification
To further engage team members, we introduced the "SkySmiles Club." In this internally developed concept and application, team members could earn points for their engagement and achievements during seminars and other activities. These points were tracked in real-time in their personal accounts, which they could access via a QR code on their physical SkySmiles cards. The collected points could be exchanged for travel-themed rewards in our SkySmiles Shop. This added a fun and competitive element to the learning experience, making participation more exciting and motivating.
